Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies Recipe

These Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies are the best of both worlds when it comes to desserts.  


FOR THE RED VELVET BROWNIES: – 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for greasing pan – 1 cup sugar – 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 Tablespoon red food coloring – 1/8 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar – 2 egg – 3/4 cup all-purpose flour FOR THE CHEESECAKE FILLING: – 1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened – 3 Tablespoons sugar – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 large egg yolk

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Butter and paper an 8x8-inch baking pan. In a large basin, mix melted 8 tablespoons butter, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, food colouring, and salt. Mix with white vinegar.  

Step 1


Mix the eggs in a separate bowl and add to brownie dough. Add flour and stir gently. Pour batter into pan, reserving ¼ cup for topping.  

Step 2

Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk in a stand mixer or handheld electric mixer until smooth. Cover brownie batter with cream cheese and dollops of remaining batter.   

Step 3

Mix brownie batter and cream cheese using a knife or toothpick. Brownie baking for 30 minutes. Remove the parchment, slice, and serve when they cool fully.
