Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers Recipe

In this easy recipe for Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers that cook in just 8 minutes, the creamy, cheesy filling with bacon bits is the star.  

INGREDIENTS

– 6 slices uncooked bacon, cut into 1/2-inch piece – 3 scallions, green and white parts divided – 2 cloves garlic, minced  – 4 oz. cream cheese – 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese – 8 large jalapeño – 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumb – Cooking Spray

Place bacon in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally until bacon is crispy and fat renders. A slotted spoon removes the bacon to a medium bowl, leaving 2 tablespoons of drippings in the skillet.

INSTRUCTIONS

Add chopped garlic and diced white scallions to the skillet. Stir garlic for 2 minutes to fragrant. Mix bacon and scallions in the basin. Start the air fryer at 325°F.  

Step 2

Mix cream cheese and cheddar in basin. Remove seeds and halve jalapeños lengthwise. Distribute cream cheese mixture among jalapeños.  

Step 3

Dip the cream cheese side of the packed jalapeños into a shallow bowl of breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to adhere.   

Step 4

Spray half of the jalapeños with cooking spray and place in the air fryer. Roast poppers for 6–8 minutes to toast breadcrumbs and peppers.   

Step 5

Remove the poppers from the air fryer and cook the other half. Before serving, slice and garnish jalapeño poppers with green scallions.
