Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies will change your cookie standards forever! These gourmet cookies are easy to make and have a creamy Nutella centre that surprises with every mouthful. No dough cooling!  

INGREDIENTS

– 2/3 cup Nutella – 1 cup unsalted butter, softened – 3/4 cup white sugar – 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar – 2 large eggs, cold – 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt – 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips or chunks (See Kelly’s Note) – Sea salt, for topping (optional)

Parchment a baking sheet. Scoop 1 ½ tablespoons of Nutella onto the baking sheet, leaving 1 inch between each mound. Put the baking sheet in the freezer for 20 minutes to solidify the Nutella.  

Step 1

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the oven to 375°F. Prepare two baking sheets with parchment. Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a stand mixer basin using the paddle attachment for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.  

Step 2

Beat in the vanilla essence after adding each egg. Beat in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until mixed, then the chocolate chunks. Remove two 1 1/2-tablespoon dough mounds and slightly flatten.   

Step 3

Place a frozen Nutella mound in the centre of one cookie dough piece and press the other on top, sealing the sides. Repeat scooping, filling, and sealing with remaining dough. Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking pans.  

Step 4

Bake the cookies for 9–12 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through, until the edges are slightly crispy and the centres are barely set. Let the cookies cool on the baking pans for 5 minutes before transferring them to a rack to finish cooling.
