This simple Apple Cinnamon Roll Casserole bakes beautiful brown cinnamon rolls with apple pie filling till golden.
INGREDIENT
For the casserole:– 1 (12 oz.) can refrigerated cinnamon roll– 3 Tablespoons butter, melted– 2 cups apple pie filling OR leftover cinnamon baked apple– 1 teaspoon cinnamon– 3 Tablespoons brown sugarFor the frosting:– 4 ounces cream cheese, softened– 2 Tablespoons butter, at room temperature– 3/4 cup powdered sugar– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract– 1-3 Tablespoons of milk or cream

INSTRUCTION
Butter and prepare an 8-9-inch cast iron skillet, pie plate, or square pan to 400 degrees. Place bite-sized cinnamon rolls in pan. Cover apples with butter, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

Step 1
Mix well and spread on pan. Add the last brown sugar tablespoon. Bake cinnamon rolls 14-17 minutes until puffy and brown.

Meanwhile, make frosting: Hand-mix cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar and beat low until blended, then high until foamy.

Add vanilla. Slowly add milk tablespoon by spoonful until desired consistency is reached. My ideal consistency is thick but pourable. Use with warm casserole!
